Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Subject Matter Expert III (Remote with Travel)

PRIMARY FUNCTION

This part-time role will provide technical expertise for space-enabled kill chain analysis in support to United States Strategic Command. The ideal candidate is someone with extensive knowledge of the military space domain, military capabilities within the electromagnetic spectrum, terrestrial Joint military campaign planning, recent experience with wargaming, and who is a creative thinker with superb written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performing space-enabled kill chain analysis and analysis of alternatives (AoA)
  • Planning and conducting research, studies, and simulations.
  • Validating methods, models, tools, and techniques.
  • Reducing, analyzing, and interpreting data; and
  • Preparing and presenting findings and recommendations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Strong verbal and written communication; effectively prepare clear, concise, and compelling presentations for senior military leaders that support critical decisions

Demonstrated knowledge of the military space environment

Demonstrated experience developing joint mission threads and performing kill chain analysis

Must possess a current Department of Defense Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Able to travel to Government facilities as needed, up to 10%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess, at minimum, a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics

Must have a minimum of twelve (12) years of post-degree relevant experience working on similar research and / or modeling & simulation projects for the Department of Defense.

Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint evidenced either through course completion, training or use in conjunction with a project.

Working knowledge of Cameo Systems Modeler is a plus
