About This Role
K-State Olathe ( https://olathe.k-state.edu/) seeks a highly motivated, collaborative leader for the role of Finance Manager. The Finance Manager is instrumental in the financial management of K-State Olathe including leading day-to-day accounting activities, monitoring spend activity versus budget, management and tracking of grant activity, supervision of team members, and financial reporting. Additionally, the Finance Manager facilitates and participates in special projects, fosters ongoing business communication across KSO, and leads continuous service and business process improvement. Reporting to the Director of Business and Financial Services, the Finance Manager oversees daily financial operations, including payroll, AP/AR, cash receipts and deposits, procurement cards, reconciliations, invoices, and required tax/1099 compliance. They prepare monthly and annual financial reports, support internal and external audits, and track key metrics to inform leadership decision-making. The role also manages grant oversight from budget setup through ongoing monitoring and forecasting, while supervising finance staff and completing related projects as assigned. Worksite Description This position is Hybrid eligible. This position is hybrid eligible; however, we require the first 90 days to be 100% on-site to allow for training and onboarding. After that period, hybrid eligibility will be discussed with the supervisor. It is important to note that when audits or other duties require in-person attendance, this position requires a commitment to being in the office. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
