Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $140,600-$369,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: March 26, 2026 Next review date: Saturday, Apr 25, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Aug 31, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position as an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Ophthalmology - Pediatrics Ophthalmology with primary clinical activities at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute - Irvine and Orange, with the possibility of also providing care to ophthalmology patients at Brea satellite clinic, and future satellite clinics. Duties will include clinical care of patients and sharing in the responsibility for didactic and clinical training of fellows, residents, and medical students. The appointment series is a Non-Senate faculty position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.
