Almac Group is currently seeking an AI Intern for our Durham, NC location. The AI intern will work with the Operations team to complete an analysis of the current operations functions and support the design, development and testing of AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Develops strong knowledge of Clinical Services Operations, including core processes, workflows, and the value these bring to customers and the wider business.


  • Analyze end-user needs, design, develop, implement and support user-centered AI technical solutions, delivering value to the business, train staff and further AI adoption across operations.


  • Collaborate with Copilot Champions, users, and teams to leverage group resources and AI focused technical solutions developed in other areas and departments.


  • Ensure delivered solutions comply with Almac software and information security standards.



Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree or enrollment in advanced degree program specializing in AI


  • 3 - 6 months in Data analysis
  • 3 - 6 months using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning tools (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
  • 3 - 6 months developing new solutions or working with commercial offtheshelf tools.


  • Statistical Knowledge.
  • Data Extraction and Visualization Tools.
  • Python Programming


Preferred Experience / Education:


  • Delivering value added solutions and providing cost benefit analysis to the proposed solutions
  • Clearly documenting the proposed design
