Kummer STEM Education Center

The Kummer Center for STEM Education is a center focused entirely on providing opportunity and access to K-12 students in STEM fields. The Kummer Center for STEM Education's goals are to lead and coordinate outreach initiatives (K-12) that leverage S&T's expertise to improve educational experiences for students and instructional experiences for teachers in school districts in south-central Missouri; and to lead and coordinate efforts on S&T's campus to improve learning and teaching experiences in STEM disciplines. The Center will serve K-12 students and teachers primarily in the rural schools of south-central Missouri, aligned with the vision of the Kummer Institute. This is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment full of opportunities.

Job Description

This full-time benefit-eligible position responsible for providing high quality STEM activities and STEM Education programming to school age children and youth across the state. This person will also oversee the Kummer Center for STEM Education's inventory in addition to collaborating with educators in delivering equipment to schools using the teacher inventory system. Significant amount of travel is a requirement to successfully complete the work of this position. This person must be organized, adaptable and flexible as there are many variables that affect the success of the events.

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Google suite
  • Experience maintaining records in database systems
  • Ability to remain flexible and prioritize changing demands
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in an education field, either K-12 or Higher Education
  • Three years of experience working with K-12 students in a STEM Field
  • Educator Credentials
  • Experience implementing STEM programming
  • Coordinating large activities
  • Project management
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,916-$68,162 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
