Torch Technologies is seeking a Data Analytics and Visualization Systems Engineerto join our team and support the Missile Defense Agency Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program Office. This role supports the Digital Acquisition and Infrastructure Team by developing and maintaining interactive data dashboards and analytics tools that transform complex engineering and program data into actionable insights to support programmatic and technical decision-making.

As a Data Analytics and Visualization Systems Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Provide systems engineering support to the GMD Program Office by analyzing and visualizing engineering and programmatic data to support mission objectives.

  • Design, develop, and publish interactive dashboards using Qlik Sense to support programmatic and technical reporting needs.

  • Develop scripts and data models to integrate, transform, and visualize data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.

  • Create clear, intuitive visualizations that communicate complex engineering, operational, and programmatic information.

  • Collaborate with GMD directorates, program offices, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored data analytics solutions.

  • Support digital engineering initiatives by enabling data-driven decision making across the GMD enterprise.

  • Maintain and enhance existing dashboards to ensure accuracy, usability, and performance for stakeholders.

  • Provide technical guidance and user support for dashboard consumers and assist with data analytics products supporting additional MDA directorates as needed.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data visualization, systems engineering, or related technical fields

  • Active Secret security clearance required

  • Experience developing dashboards using Qlik Sense or similar data visualization tools

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in DoD, federal, aerospace, defense, or engineering environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting programs within the Missile Defense Agency

  • Familiarity with the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system or related missile defense programs

  • Experience with digital engineering or model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environments

  • Knowledge of data analytics tools, scripting languages, or databases such as SQL or Python

  • Experience supporting executive-level dashboards or program management reporting

  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes or defense program management

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field or related certifications
