Health Program Evaluation Lead

The Opportunity:

Lead and manage program evaluation initiatives for government health-related programs as a Program Evaluation Lead. Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of comprehensive evaluations for government health-related programs. Lead a team of social scientists, data scientists, and statisticians, ensuring project goals and deliverables are met. Manage a multidisciplinary team of evaluation specialists and analysts, fostering collaboration and peak performance. Oversee deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs within timelines. Provide technical and strategic guidance to team members for all aspects of the evaluation process. Serve as the primary liaison with clients, facilitating regular meetings, managing expectations, and addressing project needs. Present evaluation findings, methodologies, and recommendations to officials, stakeholders, and other audiences. Employ advanced analytic skills to design evaluation frameworks, develop instruments, and analyze data. Take lead in writing comprehensive reports, presentations, and summaries, ensuring findings are actionable and aligned with client goals. Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis to assess program impact and recommend improvements.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience evaluating government-funded health programs, including quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience leading and managing large-scale health program evaluations, including overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring project deliverables
  • Experience with evaluation methodologies, analytics, and report writing
  • Experience with statistics, data management, and analysis tools such as Excel, R, SPSS, SAS, Stata, and NVivo
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments, balancing multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Ability to manage teams and oversee deliverables
  • Public Trust
  • Master's degree in a Social Science field such as Public Health, Sociology, Public Policy, Health Administration, or Evaluation Sciences

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with federal or state agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services, CDC, CMS, or state health departments
  • Experience with health quality improvement tools, frameworks such as PDSA cycle and Six Sigma, and regulatory landscapes
  • Experience facilitating client and stakeholder meetings to translate complex findings into actionable insights
  • Knowledge of various evaluation approaches, including formative, summative, and participatory
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and commit to producing high-quality deliverables
  • Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Possession of excellent analytical thinking and writing skills, to ensure the delivery of top-tier evaluations that inform critical health program decisions
  • Possession of excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
