How will you power what's possible? Job Summary The position will participate in the execution of corporate-wide accounting initiatives in support of the company's objectives. It will support the accounting for cash and / or lease accounting, assist in the preparation of journal entries, prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations, and assist with various other month-end close tasks, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and / or financial statement preparations, and year-end audit deliverables as needed. Finally, the position will support the accounting close processes and related reconciliations for various corporate functional departments. Key Responsibilities Assesses and oversees financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and financial policies. Acts as a senior resource for the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior accountants, troubleshooting complex accounting issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices in financial reporting. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and timely general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with company policies and reconciliation standards. Implements processes to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency, driving improvements in financial systems, procedures, and technology. Ensures continuous optimization of financial operations. Manages accounting activities involving foreign currency transactions, including revaluations and analysis to ensure accurate reporting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to influence business strategy, ensuring alignment between financial operations and broader organizational objectives. Ensures the integrity of financial processes, coordinating audits, and ensuring the accurate and timely submission of required regulatory filings. Prepare and post journal entries and support monthend close activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established close timelines. Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring auditready support for assigned accounts and processes. Support the research, analysis, and application of U.S. GAAP for new or amended accounting standards and nonroutine transactions, ensuring consistent and compliant accounting treatment.
