Title:Clinical Therapist,Pre-License

Reportsto:Executive Director

Department/Location:Onsite in Andover, MA

FLSA Status:Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p

Role Summary:

The Therapist willbe responsible forproviding high-quality care and therapeutic services to individuals dealing with various behavioral issues. The therapist will develop and implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective behavioral health interventions. Guidelight is committed to the professional growth and development of therapists and provides free clinical supervision hours to support clinicians in working toward licensure.

Role Responsibilities/Competencies:



  • Conduct psychologicaland biopsychosocialassessments and evaluations todetermineclients' needs.


  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.


  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy.


  • Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans to create a cohesive case conceptualization.


  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide comprehensiveand continuity ofcare.


  • Completes suicide risk assessment within identifiedtime framesand withappropriate thoroughnessand scoring while consulting with clinical leaders.


  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviewsdetermininglength of stay and level of care.


  • Assess andidentifycommunity resources based onclientsneeds during treatment/ aftercare planning.


  • Adhere to all standardized Group Curriculum and Treatment Planning.


  • Educate clients and their families about mental health and behavioral issues while building supportive and trusting relationships.


  • Comes preparedtoweekly clinical supervision with relevant client updates, case formulations, and questions to support high-quality care.


  • Adhere to all confidentiality and ethical guidelines as outlined by professional standards and laws.


  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in behavioral therapy and mental health.

Required Qualifications:



  • A master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.


  • Valid eligibility to obtain state licensure in Massachusetts (LMHC eligible, LCSW)


  • Experience in behavioral therapy and counseling.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Relevant Internship PHP/IOP experience


  • Group Facilitation experience

Pay Range
$70,000 $80,000 USD
