Overview
This will be a 3 month engagement in Redmond, WA. Aquent, a premier talent solutions partner, is seeking a skilled professional to join a pioneering technology leader known for shaping the digital landscape. This organization is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible, creating groundbreaking solutions that impact millions globally. This person will join a close-knit team driving industry-leading audio technologies across the Windows ecosystem to create delightful experiences for our customers and improve product reliability. Exposure to media and audio technologies, collaboration with major industry partners (Intel, AMD, Dell, Lenovo, HP), and involvement in high-impact Windows certification processes. Key Responsibilities: The role will be focused on Audio HLK certification testing, which includes:
- Diagnosing failures reported by external partners and escalation engineers
- Creating test errata to overturn partner failures
- Making test content fixes and improvements
- Executing certification test passes
- Ensuring Microsoft audio drivers successfully passes certification
- The role will consist of approximately 40% investigating audio certification test failures reported by partners, 40% making test content fixes and improvements, and 20% improving internal tools to enhance debugging capabilities.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in software development.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with C++ programming.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with Windows device driver development.
- Minimum 4 years' experience with advanced debugging on Windows.
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Extensive experience in large systems software design and development.
- Demonstrated experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
- Proven experience in programming and adept at problem diagnosis and resolution.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Advanced debugging experience in complex operating system or system-level environments.
- Direct experience with audio or media technologies.
