HDR is looking for a Civil Engineering EIT candidate to join our Building Engineering Services Business Group in Folsom, CA. This position includes engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. The EIT may work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. The civil engineering design projects this individual will support include a variety of market sectors: Technology, Corporate/Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal.
In the role of a Site Civil EIT, we'll count on you to:
- Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
- Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
- Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Full time in-person work in assigned office
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Proficient in Bluebeam
- Experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D
- Experience with speciality civil platforms (e.g., Openflows), WaterCAD, or HyrdroCAD
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
