Primary Purpose of Position
This position assists the manager with overseeing the daily operations of the Central Warehouse facility. This includes, but is not limited to, assistance with coordinating the warehousing of items, receiving items from shippers as required, redistribution of materials to campus departments, coordinating the Surplus Property program, and verification of campus fixed assets inventory. This position requires someone that not only understands warehouse operations, but also is able to manage the warehouse operation and staff when the manager is out of the office.


Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assists the manager with overseeing the daily operations of the Central Warehouse facility.


Duties includes, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with coordinating the warehousing of items, receiving items from shippers as required.
  • Redistribution of materials to campus departments.
  • Coordinating the Surplus Property program, and verification of campus fixed assets inventory.
  • Position requires understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to manage the warehouse operation and staff when the manager is out of the office.

Other Work Responsibilities
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, materials handling, or inventory control, receiving, storage, redistribution of materials, or related operational support.
  • Experience with university systems( 49erMart and Jaggaer), state surplus procedures, or public sector property management processes preferred
  • Experience maintaining accurate inventory, asset, or operational records and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, safety requirements, and established procedures, training or experience with fixed asset inventory processes, auditing, or compliance procedures preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to assign, coordinate, and monitor daily work activities, provide staff guidance and training, and help maintain smooth operations in a fast paced environment, ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, vendors, and customers while providing professional customer service and resolving day to day operational issues.
  • Safety training related to workplace safety, hazard communication, or equipment operation, Forklift or other warehouse equipment certification preferred, if applicable
