Coding Specialist - Home Health & Hospice ContracttoHire \| OnSite for Training Hybrid We are seeking an experienced Coding Specialist to accurately assign ICD10CM diagnosis codes for home health and hospice encounters. This role supports compliant documentation, OASIS submission, and accurate billing while working closely with clinical and revenue cycle teams. Responsibilities * Assign and sequence ICD10CM diagnosis codes for home health and hospice cases. * Review medical records and OASIS assessments to ensure complete and accurate coding. * Apply official coding guidelines, Coding Clinic updates, and CMS regulations. * Query providers when documentation is incomplete or unclear. * Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and revenue cycle staff. * Meet productivity standards and maintain 96%+ coding accuracy. * Perform additional coding and documentationrelated tasks as needed. Qualifications * Completion of an AHIMA or AAPC coding program preferred. * ICD10CM diagnosis coding experience required. * Home health and/or hospice coding experience preferred. * Familiarity with OASIS assessments a plus. * Active coding certification required (AHIMA, AAPC, or AHCC): CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, HCSD, HCSH, COC, CRC, etc. * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
