Performs administrative duties related to patient visits, including scheduling, check-in, and check-out duties (performs all duties of the other levels at the highest proficiency level). Actual job duties may vary by Department. The purpose of a Patient Services Coordinator is to provide a range of services and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

- Managing patient insurance Referrals and Prior Authorization process
- Ensuring the office operates smoothly and efficiently and maintaining office equipment
- Coordinator patient appointment in Book-It and manage providers and NP appointment calendars
- Schedule Medical and Oncology infusions in Opt-In to achieve available bed and Nurse time for patient appointment
- Handle incoming patient inquiries, via phone, email or in person
- Coordinate appointments for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Coordinator scan for patient including all images
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to effectively handle complex multiple tasks and patients simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to liaise between patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies, and to handle patient concerns and inquiries.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping, scheduling of appointments,
- Good computer literacy to use various databases and software for documentation and communication.
- Understanding medical terminology and healthcare procedures to communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations, as healthcare environments can be fast-paced and unpredictable.
