Position Purpose: Consults with customers to understand their needs and how Corporate Strategic Services' (CPSS) may identify and address their business problems/opportunities. Provides strategic and tactical leadership in the development, management, and delivery of priorities spanning multiple business units, divisions or corporation. Identifies, frames, and communicates critical success factors, alternative strategies, detailed choices, uncertainties, and anticipated outcomes associated with strategic recommendations. Provides leadership on individual and team work assignments, making decisions independently with minimal guidance from manager. May participate in the training and career development of staff. May assist department managers in day-to-day operations of the department. Location: This role is Full-time and primarily onsite, located in Columbia, South Carolina, with an expectation of 3-4 days per week in the office with some remote flexibility based on business needs. What You'll Do
Partner with business units on strategy development and planning initiatives that lead to executable solutions to build competitive advantage, defend market position, and achieve organizational objectives. Lead the implementation of complex program level initiatives while leveraging change management concepts. Energize and strengthen our team by being a great collaborator and championing changes, ideas, and initiatives that create ongoing success. Cultivate relationships with internal business stakeholders to proactively identify and champion opportunities that will bring business value. Provide thought leadership, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders to influence decisions in line with business unit and enterprise strategy. Engage with executive leaders and key stakeholders with confidence, decisiveness, and credibility while effectively influencing others and clearly conveying ideas. Expand and share your knowledge of the healthcare/insurance industry, the organization, and effective frameworks/approaches that are relevant, practical, and impactful. Actively contribute to the leadership and development of other team members and be a key collaborative think partner to the CPSS Leadership Team. Work with customers, staff, and other resources to develop and recommend effective strategies and services which meet the needs of customers and the corporation. Leads, manages, and executes all individual and multiple project related tasks. Determines, sets, and executes best direction in addressing business issues or opportunity by facilitating communication and active participation between and among business units and stakeholders. Negotiates and manages agreements and commitments based on requirements of business to foster decision-making and execution. Consults with customers and all levels of management (to include senior level executives) to understand strategic direction of business, and designs and implements solutions to corporate/enterprise issues and opportunities. Evaluates current and future corporate needs and identifies evolution of existing services to increase value of department to the corporation. Provide analysis on industry, business trends, and key operations/functions to solve business problems and maximize opportunities. Identifies, researches, and manages all aspects of business solution or opportunity. Consults with all levels of management (to include senior level executives) engaged in design, development, communication, and implementation of said business solutions or opportunities. Provide leadership critical insights to make key decisions (i.e. strategic, operational, technological, financial, etc.). Conducts comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis that synthesizes disparate information, both internal (cross-business) and external (industry and competitive). Stays abreast of emerging analytical, organizational development, and business trends. Directs activities of other staff members on their team on topics such as project management, direction, and analysis. May provide guidance/leadership to staff pertaining to training and department initiatives. May assist department managers in day-to-day operations of department.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following: Required Education:
Required Minimum Work Experience:
10 years of job-related experience on highly visible key enterprise initiatives which includes leading and developing cross-functional teams. Experience may include any combination of the following: business analysis, process improvement/redesign, organizational development, corporate/strategic planning, business systems analysis, business development, change management, project/program management or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to build and maintain customer-centric relationships to drive business objective and organizational value. Ability to transfer knowledge, mentor, and guide less experienced staff/customers in the use of appropriate tools/frameworks/methodologies in the design and execution of business solutions. Work independently and with teams to translate ambiguous/complex concepts into a set of prioritized approaches that will produce sound decisions. Effective communication, persuasion, negotiation, and influencing skills in order to win support and champion ideas from ideation through execution. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

We Prefer That You Have the Following:
Proven ability to partner and engage with senior executives and Csuite leaders, effectively influencing key business decisions. Extensive experience working within the Healthcare or Health Insurance industries in the payor are provider segments. Background working with pharmacy or clinical leaders to drive value on key initiatives. 7+ years of strategic planning, program management, or consulting experience working for an external or dedicated internal consulting team. 3+ years leadership experience within the healthcare industry, preferably with healthcare payors. Master's Degree in a related field (MHA, MBA, Strategy, etc.)

Demonstrated industry/competitive knowledge on benchmarking trends within insurance industry. In-depth understanding of business insurance operations.
