Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Division of Access and Community Engagement.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Oversees and coordinates tutoring and mentoring programs and workshop series for local youth and families on campus and in community settings.
- Serves as the volunteer placement liaison between Rutgers University and the surrounding school districts.
- Performs duties including planning, coordinating, and managing tutoring, mentoring, workshops, host college-bound days, and other programs and events.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree preferably in psychology, education, social work, or related social sciences or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- At least two years of relevant experience working in a program management function in higher ed or youth-serving settings.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work cooperatively with others.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree.
- Knowledge of current practices in mentoring programs, experience in service learning, community-based research, and student internships in higher education. This knowledge is fundamental to successfully fulfilling the requirements of the mentoring program and school placement planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Bilingual Spanish.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
