Responsible for scheduling, support and administration for the fabrication service team; conducts product research for complicated repairs, handles project coordination on large installations and provides customer assistance by performing the following.

  • Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Schedules service technicians for repair and maintenance of cutting machines, robotics, and general repair needs through utilization of tech software (tech.airgas.com).
  • Processes orders for all service calls which may include customer set up, part number set up and vendor set up.
  • Acts as a liaison between the region and suppliers, verifying order confirmations and resolving delivery problems, and follows up on non-disclosure agreement (NDA) deliveries & drop ships.
  • Generates quotes for the customer, either based upon the tech request and/or may research and troubleshoot customer's technical needs with the assistance of the Director of Advanced Fabrication.
  • Primary contact for service calls looking for repairs, installations, calibrations, programming and preventative maintenance.
  • Primary contact for Airgas associates for status updates where access to software is not available.
  • Generates monthly reports, record of sales, margins, and labor for Director of Fabrication.
  • Assists with selection and facilitation of training to broaden technician skills and works with manager to ensure associates are cross trained.
  • All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a two year Technical College in encouraged
  • SAP or similar software system experience. Intermediate skills operating a computer in Windows based environment is recommended.
  • Working knowledge of welding and cutting equipment and processes are an asset.

  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
