JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Purpose of position The 4-H camp nurse is responsible for promoting good health habits and camp safety, for giving all emergency first aid treatment, and for distributing all medication to campers and staff. Primary Duties
Qualifications: Registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, or paramedics may provide medical services to camp. Nursing and medical staff are responsible for obtaining their own professional liability insurance. Position requires excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently. Must be a team player who can work with diverse youth and adults. The candidate must be able to be able to carry equipment and supplies, with or without accommodation. Applicant must also be willing to work flexible hours during camp week, June 21-26, 2026. 4-H Camp is held in Spring Mills, PA at the Seven Mountains Scout Camp. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
