JOB TYPE Classification:Exempt Supervises Positions:No JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the senior leader of Community Engagement, the Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing operational support for community engagement and outreach initiatives including partnerships, communications, programs and other events that reflect UVA Community Health's commitment to cultivating healthy communities and belonging for all. The coordinator closely partners with the Community Engagement Program Managers in event planning and execution, volunteer coordination, outcome tracking and reporting. The Coordinator must possess and demonstrate effective application of the following skillsets: relationship building, decision making, task execution and accountability, information tracking and reporting. The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education:High School diploma / GED (associates Degree preferred) Experience:Minimum of two years of experience in administrative setting, including event planning and execution and expense tracking and management. Hospital or healthcare system experience, preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure:N/A Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Proven track record of success in administrative task execution and event planning management. Ability to multi-task while gathering, collecting, consolidating, and reporting various monthly and annual summary reports from various sources of information. Ability to effectively communicate with peers and professionals. General working knowledge of UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper improvement strategies. Experience with Word, Excel, and Power Point software. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Familiarity with Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability (CBISA) Software. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code:6A, Customer Service Work Function/Activity: Sedentary to Light Physical Demand The job requires frequent sitting and standing, occasional walking, and bending/stooping. Frequent repetitive arm, hand, and finger movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
