What You Can Expect

As the Controls Engineer II for the Broadview Energy Management platform, you will be a key developer in a cross-functional development group. Within ENGIE's dynamic environment, you will be expected to design, implement and test, control algorithms for Solar Projects (PV Controller). Every day, you will provide input on controls, simulation, and modeling development in a wide range of software development activities and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project. This position can sit in Houston, TX or San Francisco, CA reporting to the Controls Engineering Director.

What You'll Bring



  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Control Systems, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. In lieu of a degree, we will also consider a combination of relevant experience where you gained a strong understanding of developing controls systems
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in developing controls systems
  • You have experience developing controls code using CodeSys, MATLAB/Simulink, and other PLC programming platforms
  • You have experience building and supporting HMI solutions using tools like Ignition and PanelView
  • You are knowledgeable in network communication architectures, telemetry, and industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, MQTT)
  • You are experienced with Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing approaches
  • You have hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle and version control using Git
  • You have prior experience developing controls systems for solar projects



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; three days a week in the office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies



Compensation

Salary Range:$77,100- $118,220USDannually

Thisrepresentsthe average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIEcomplies withall federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
