Job Description

The Senior Manager, Pricing & Deal Desk will be responsible for leading the deal desk, analytics, price execution, and rebate functions. This leader will collaborate with the broader ComEx team and implement profit optimization analyses, compliance analyses, win/loss reporting, and risk assessments as well as recommend and implement pricing actions. This role will work cross functionally to understand business needs and provide solutions that help drive efficiencies and profit for the business. This role will also be responsible for preparing deal trend analysis and continuing to optimize the Major Deals and Deal Management processes to drive fast and accurate deal decisions.



RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:



  • Manage the team of Pricing Analysts and the leader of Price Execution and Rebates including allocating work amongst the team, creating individual development plans and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Lead the team to continuously support Protective Packaging North America through analytics, reporting, pricing execution and rebates.
  • Manage the Major Deals approval process with appropriate analysis and recommendations, including providing options and creative solutions to challenges.
  • Support deals being considered outside of Vendavo (Major Deals, Flips, Etc) with appropriate analysis and recommendations.
  • Communicate Deal Desk analyses and tools to all stakeholders and provide continuous support and training to the teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on special projects designed to continuously improve the Deal Management and Pricing processes.
  • Develop and implement deal compliance and win/loss reporting process whereby previous deals are reviewed to determine if they are meeting financial goals. Based on findings, work with cross functional team to address deals not meeting financial goals.
  • Develop and implement detailed, periodic analytics to identify low margin opportunities and collaborate with the Sales and Portfolio teams to find solutions.
  • Partner with Sales and Portfolio teams to understand analytics needs and provide support in the form of actionable analysis and recommended pricing actions.
  • Work with the Sales and Portfolio teams to intake, prioritize, and complete ad hoc analytics requests.
  • Partner with Sales and Portfolio teams to understand unique category needs and then develop deal output analysis to enable swift decision making by senior level approvers.
  • Lead the process for general price changes including implementation, communication, and tracking performance.
  • Maintain the Customer Exemption database including working with SLT to approve or reject new exemptions. Continuously analyze the impact that Customer Exemption Database has on our margin flow through.
  • Manage RFQ and contract process, including maintaining and updating indexed pricing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or other relevant business field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in pricing/financial analysis and systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Vendavo System for deal management
  • Ability to complete a case study and present to the hiring team



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience analyzing dynamic pricing environments across numerous lines of business each with unique circumstances.
  • Ability to manipulate large pools of data ultimately creating actionable recommendations.
  • Significant experience analyzing raw material market trends, cost breakdown analysis, and Sales and Profit analyses.
  • Experience partnering with Sales and Marketing organizations.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI.
  • Superior communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with experience generating solutions based on corporate goals and individual customer constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail and takes initiative to continuously optimize their role.
  • Experience working in dynamic teams with proficiency in prioritizing team success over individual.
  • Results oriented and intellectually curious.

Pay Transparency:

Salary Range: $93,100 - 139,700



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
