JOB LOCATION

Central Carolina Surgery - 1002 N Church St, Greensboro, NC

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for insurance verification of all patients booked for surgery.
Responsible for precertification of all surgical procedures as required.
Responsible for predeterminations established per protocol, i.e., gynecomastia, prophylactic mastectomies.
Responsible for precoding of all surgical cases prior to obtaining precertification and scheduling of surgeries.
Responsible for calculation of patient financial responsibility according to the insurance plan benefits.
Responsible for entering insurance data, procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and patient financial responsibility into Surgimate.
Responsible for attending all staff meetings.
Responsible for conducting all work activities and efforts in a manner that is productive and meets the needs of other team members and the practice as a whole.
Responsible for demonstrating regard for dignity and respect of physicians and practice personnel.
Responsible for complying with all confidentiality standards of CCS.
Responsible for maintaining proper attendance and punctuality so as to ensure that the practice operates in an efficient and consistent manner.
Responsible for performing all other duties as directed by the Patient Support Services Manager and other management staff.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS



  • Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
