Due to the onsite requirements of this position, applicants are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated work location (Chelmsford, MA). This role does not offer relocation.

Job Summary

As a pivotal member of our dynamic team at ZOLL, this individual will play a crucial role in the ongoing cloud data migration initiative and the establishment of standardized data governance and reporting practices. The primary focus of this role will be to support the following data assets: orders, revenue, and backlog. In the early stages of this role, they will assist in enhancing, documenting, and testing a new Cloud data integration and data warehouse solution. Controls will be put in place to continuously monitor these data assets in their performance and adherence to enterprise-wide governance policies.

As this role matures, they will become an expert in the data movement from source to consumption, ZOLL's strategic use of the data assets, and will therefore be able to help standardize cross-functional reporting. This role requires strong partnerships with various business functions and IT. A successful candidate will be able to leverage their previous experience in data governance, data product ownership, or business intelligence initiatives to ensure data integrity, quality, observability, security, and compliance are followed across our organization's growing data ecosystem.

Essential Functions

  • Governance of Orders, Revenue, and Backlog Data Assets
  • Data Management: Create processes, including the documentation, organization, and maintenance of data dictionaries, taxonomies, data lineage, and report repositories
  • Data Quality Assurance: Define and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across data platforms.
  • Support data asset and report migrations through testing and validation in audit-controlled environment
  • Conduct routine data audits and present findings to leadership
  • Perform detailed reconciliations to identify data quality root cause and assist in resolving
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple systems and platforms
  • Collaborate with data stewards and business owners to define data standards and best practices
  • Stakeholder Management for Orders, Revenue, and Backlog Data Assets
  • Act as a liaison between technical and business team to ensure seamless data integration and reporting
  • Support data consumers by providing training and documentation
  • Partner with developers to enhance reporting accuracy and insights obtained
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate data stewardship meetings to eliminate data silos related to these data assets
  • Develop and maintain reporting and metrics to both assess ZOLL's adherence to data policies and system performance with notifications or alerts where applicable.
  • Continually define and communicate a comprehensive vision and strategy for data governance in Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse and interconnected systems that are aligned with ZOLL's goals and objectives.
  • Data Privacy and Security: Work closely with security and compliance teams to establish robust data privacy and security protocols, including access controls, encryption, and anonymization techniques.
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders to foster a culture of data governance awareness and compliance.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration field required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years hands on experience in data analytics, data governance, or systems analyst required
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Oracle Cloud experience (Fusion Data Intelligence Platform FDIP, Fusion Analytics Warehouse FAW, Oracle Analytics Cloud OAC, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI data catalog, etc.) required
  • Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of Orders, Revenue, and Backlog data concepts and business impact
  • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as data cataloging, metadata management, data quality tools, and data lineage tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of data governance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The annual salary for this position is:

$101,600.00 to $127,000.00
