Description

Join the team that manages more than one million calls each year for the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The Communications Supervisor oversees daily call center operations, supports staff performance, and ensures exceptional service as the hospital's first point of contact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise call center operations, including staff training, coaching, and quality assurance.
  • Resolve caller concerns and ensure adherence to customer service and hospital protocols.
  • Answer and route highvolume incoming calls; provide patient, department, and oncall information.
  • Process routine and emergency calls and activate emergency response personnel when needed.
  • Monitor emergency alarm systems, triage elevator malfunctions, and support critical communications such as Radiology urgent results.
  • Assist with Faculty Answering Service calls and overflow support for ISS Customer Care.


Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $78,500.00 - 163,600.00 annually . The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and below the midpoint of this range.
Qualifications

Supervisory Experience:



  • 2-3 years managing a team, including coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluation.


Call Center Experience:



  • 2 - 5 years in a call center environment, preferably in healthcare.


Healthcare Knowledge:



  • Familiarity with medical terminology, health care procedures and patient privacy (HIPAA).
