Our product requirements demand ground-up cell architectures withstate-of-the-artperformance, manufactured at volumes that are orders of magnitude higher than the products they power. Our Team is seeking a skilled engineer to lead process development in cell prototyping. This role requires collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams, strong technical communication, and a commitment to innovation. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, recent graduates, and experts at every career stage to push the boundaries of cell manufacturing at scale.
What You'll Do
- Own and account for one ormorecell manufacturing processes
- Lead technician teams to execute daily operations, ensuring process quality, efficiency, and compliance
- Define and standardize baseline process parameters and operating procedures
- Analyze process capabilities through design of experiments (DOE), data-driven insights, and product metric evaluation
- Develop and refine process conditions for new cell designs and recipes
- Communicate technical findings clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing individual contributions with team goals
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience working with lithium-ion battery cells
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability in technical problem-solving
- Deep expertise in lithium-ion cell chemistry, design, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with equipment and processes in battery or similar industries
- Proficiency in PFMEA and data-driven root cause analysis
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on system-level problem-solving
- Familiarity with statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, MATLAB, Python, SQL) for data analysis and process optimization
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to convey complex ideas clearly
- Ability to manage time and priorities independently in a dynamic environment

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $164,400/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
