* iPaaS platform experience (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar)
* Higher education IT environment experience
* AI integration or Model Context Protocol familiarity
* Financial systems or business operations automation experience
Position Summary
The Application Integration Analyst is a technical working practitioner responsible for building and maintaining the integrations, automatons, and intelligent workflows that connect UGA's enterprise systems. Serves as primary integration engineer for the enterprise ITSM platform and iPaaS ecosystem while leading business process automation and emerging AI connectivity capabilities. Balances enterprise integration work (40%), business automation for EITS Finance & Business Services (35%), and AI integration (25%).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Strong proficiency with RESTful API design, development, and integration patterns
  • Experience with JSON, XML, and data transformation/mapping
  • Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar languages for automation and integration
  • Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, API keys) and secure integration practices
  • Database knowledge, including SQL queries and understanding of relational data structures
  • Version control proficiency using Git or similar systems

Enterprise Integration & iPaaS Development

  • Build RESTful API connectors between ITSM platform and core institutional systems (Banner, Workday, Data Warehouse)
  • Develop automated data synchronization workflows, eliminating manual data entry
  • Maintain and enhance iPaaS integrations, ensuring reliability and data accuracy
  • Support all EITS units with integration needs for service delivery

Business Process Automation

  • Develop workflow automations within ITSM platform for business processes identified by Finance & Business Services
  • Design custom forms and service catalog offerings for procurement, onboarding, and asset tracking
  • Re-architect manual workflows into streamlined digital processes with measurable efficiency gains
  • Create automated financial workflows (budget reconciliation, vendor routing, invoice processing)

AI Integration & MCP Architecture

  • Design Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers providing AI models secure access to ITSM platform data
  • Build AI-enhanced workflows combining traditional integration with intelligent decision-making
  • Ensure AI integrations adhere to data privacy standards (FERPA, HIPAA) and security policies
