Senior Accountant - Manufacturing Position Overview Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cost and inventory accounting, and ensuring timely, audit-ready financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to support operational accounting needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness Support cost and inventory accounting, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and reconciliations Maintain and reconcile inventory, WIP, and cost of goods sold accounts Assist with manufacturing variance analysis and provide supporting detail to management Prepare and review financial schedules to support internal reporting and external audits Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed Support system and process improvements related to ERP, reporting, and close efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations Hands-on experience with cost accounting and inventory processes ERP experience required (NetSuite, Great Plains, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
