Software Developer
Oostburg, WI (On- site)

The Software Developer is responsible for the development of company business application needs under the direction of the Director of Application Development.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, code, test, debug, implement, and maintain software applications as requested by users and approved by the Director of Application Development or the Vice President of Information Technology.
  • Develop, write, and maintain system documentation.
  • Provide end-user assistance including education, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide after-hours, on-call support to end-users (weeknight/weekend).
  • Perform miscellaneous projects as requested by the Director of Application Development or the Vice President of Information Technology.


Qualifications and Experience:



  • Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems or a related area, or equivalent experience required.
  • Up to three years of programming experience in IBMi Power Systems, or in a related position.
  • Knowledge of an IBMi midrange computer system.
  • Programming knowledge and skills in ILE, RPG/400, CL, subfiles, SQL, and DB2/400.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Personal computer and hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people.
  • Ability to read and understand moderately complex computer manuals.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing, warehouse, and/or distribution applications.
