Job Description

IPG Photonics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our growing IT team and work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech manufacturing company. As a Desktop Support person you will be responsible for Windows 11 deployment, preparing, configuring, and deploying Windows 11 across an organization's devices. This role ensures smooth migration from previous operating systems, minimizes downtime, and supports end users throughout the transition.



Key Responsibilities


* Configure, image, and deploy Windows 11 devices using tools such as Microsoft SCCM or Autopilot.


* Perform predeployment assessments, including hardware compatibility checks and application readiness.


* Migrate user data and settings using tools like OneDrive.


* Troubleshoot deployment failures, driver issues, application conflicts, and hardware problems.


* Install, configure, and update required software, security tools, and corporate applications.


* Maintain accurate documentation of deployment processes, device inventories, and configuration standards.


* Provide on-site or remote support to end users during and after the upgrade process.



Required Skills & Qualifications


* Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems, features, and configuration settings.


* Experience with imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, Autopilot).


* Familiarity with Active Directory, and M365 environments.


* Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.



  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deployments simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications



  • CompTIA A+

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
