The Welder will be responsible for performing all necessary tasks to fabricate and prepare high purity fluid handling assemblies and subassemblies using orbital welding in cleanroom 100.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Basic machine tool knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to read/interpret weldment drawings, detailed specifications, written instructions and QC documents. Assist in development of standard operating procedures.
  • Experience with measuring, hand & power tools, Calipers,Height Gauges, Micrometers
  • Sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
  • Safety glasses and other required protection should be worn when out in the production area
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Identify a measurement on a print (fraction and decimal) and can find the same measurement on a tape measure.
  • Understand fractions and decimals and be able to convert both.
  • Can explain conversion techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in UHPSS and how to safely use them.
  • Can identify the hand and power tools used in the department.
  • Understands the proper use and risk/hazard factor of each tool used.
  • Has verified safety training on all tools used in department.
  • Able to assist with Cutting and facing of stainless steel tubing. o Must be able to Cut, face, & deburr tubing to within +or- .015".
  • Must be able to cut, face, & deburr tubing without scratching the ID of the tubing .
  • Able to keep work area clean and organized
  • Maintain cleanroom standards
  • Trained with AMI 207 orbital welding machine and weld heads but without working experience or the skill level to perform welds on their own.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 1-3 years work experience.
  • Experience setting, communicating, and achieving goals.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions, regarding daily functions.
  • Experience in the use of calipers, protractors and height gauge.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
