Job Summary

Supports the Rockwell Automation Power Business including reading electrical one-lines, completing project take-offs, preparing quotations, presenting to internal teams and customers on the technical attributes of the Rockwell Automation power product line and supporting orders in a distributor's Area of Primary Responsibility (APR). Responsible for the Power product planning segment. Supports the Services business as part of its day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Acts as the lead support resource for the Rockwell Power business within a distributor's APR.
  • Ensures a consistent level of support for customers within the APR.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for each business unit.
  • Documents and executes a competency plan for the APR.
  • Identifies and pursues competitive target accounts for each planning segment.
  • Effectively and accurately handles most technical questions and objections for assigned products.
  • Understands the complementary product lines with the Power solutions.
  • Reads an electrical one-line and design the correct power product based on customer requirements.
  • Understands the benefits of Integrated Architecture and Intelligent Motor Control.
  • Effectively positions energy savings to justify return on investment on capital projects.
  • Communicates commercial and technical product issues to Rockwell Automation Domain Experts and business units.
  • Acts as the point person for the Power business strategy at the APR level(s) the support.
  • Analyzes and documents market conditions, competitive offerings and identifies opportunities for growth in the APR(s) they support.
  • Articulates Rockwell Automation's value proposition in the Power product space both commercially and technically.
  • Exceeds growth targets in business revenue and management objectives.

Non-essential Functions

  • Supports a funnel that is adequate for planning segments within the Power Products planning segments to make plan.
  • Develops competency programs for Distributor sales, specialists, and self.
  • Supports the development and implementation of the distributor business plan for the Power business.
  • Assists the Rockwell Automation Power Product Manager in the focus of revenue performance for the power business for 1 and 3 year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Technology diploma in related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years power, motor control, or industrial automation experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Power Control.
  • Ability to read an electrical one-line diagram
  • Basic understanding of motor control
  • Knowledge around Rockwell Automation's Intelligent Motor Control is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software preferred.

  • Ability to influence and guide team members.
  • Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
