OVERVIEW
Merrick & Company is hiring a Process Engineer I to join our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing team in Greenwood Village, CO. Annual salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - $88,300.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Process Engineer at Merrick, you will work primarily on energy and industrial biotechnology projects, working within a small, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to execute engineering projects. This engineer will:
- Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs.
- Prepare process design deliverables including:
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
- Orifice and equipment sizing calculations
- Process line sizing calculations
- Equipment and Instrument datasheets
- Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
- Review and check the work of other process engineers.
- Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of related engineering experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with the following software:
- Aspen Hysys and/or Aspen Plus
- Intelligen, SuperPro, and/or SchedulePro
- AFT Arrow
- AFT Fathom
- Mathcad
