  1. Applicants applying to this position must have completed at least 60 hours working on a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field (preferably Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or Industrial Systems/Manufacturing Engineering), or a Master's student in an engineering discipline.
  2. Ability to commute to the plant location (Los Alamitos, CA).
  3. Eligible to meet plant EAR/ITAR Compliance requirements (see below)



Job Summary




The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will assist in improvement of manufacturing processes such as composite layup, machining, welding, and assembly. This internship provides hands-on experience in engineering tasks related to our products, supporting ongoing projects and gaining valuable industry knowledge. The candidate must have completed at least 60 hours currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and able to work at least 40 hours per week during the summer and/or Fall Semester 2026.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities





  • Support production processes with the goal of improving efficiency, product quality and safety.
  • Apply APQP principals to improve New Product Introduction (NPI), including development of PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Participate in review of nonconforming product to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions
  • Support documentation of engineering processes including manufacturing planning and visual work instructions
  • Learn to navigate Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Learn Change Management for process changes and drawing changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and deadlines.
  • Perform basic research and data analysis to contribute to manufacturing improvements.

Education and Experience (must meet the criteria below)





  • Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
  • Must have completed at least 60 hours toward Engineering degree
  • Ability to commute to the Los Alamitos, CA plant location.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week during the summer and/or Fall Semester 2026.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing concepts.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively with supervision, including meeting attendance policy and working assigned shift.
