Overview Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly experienced Nuclear Criticality Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support nuclear safety program activities at a Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear facility. This position provides senior-level technical expertise in nuclear safety with a focus on nuclear criticality safety, operational safety reviews, and organizational performance improvement within highly regulated nuclear environments. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic advisor and technical reviewer, supporting the evaluation of nuclear facility operations, investigation of nuclear safety issues, and development of corrective and preventative improvements to strengthen nuclear safety programs. The role requires extensive experience within DOE and/or NNSA nuclear facilities and the ability to perform independent technical reviews, causal analysis, and assessments of safety processes and organizational effectiveness. Work Schedule A 40 hour work week is scheduled. Client utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes Client holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
