Covia is looking for a dynamic Dryer/Screen Operator who will have a positive impact on our team at our Emmett, ID location. As a Dryer/Screen Operator, you will operator the dry plant , monitoring screens, loading rail cars and keeping the dry plant area clean and safe.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  • Assist with additional maintenance projects as needed
  • Perform and document daily safety checks on heavy equipment and area inspections
  • General housekeeping of the plant
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety regulations and safe work practices
  • Perform quality control tests on products prior final shipment
  • Maintain positive communication daily with other shift(s) regarding production, quality, and general plant performance
  • Other duties as assigned


The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Ability to work with normal supervision
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Basic knowledge of testing procedures
  • Prior forklift or mobile equipment experience
