Data-driven insight is essential to the success of large-scale aviation programs. Peraton is seeking a Reporting Lead to drive reporting strategy, performance analytics, and CDRL (Contract Data Requirements List) management supporting high-visibility programs aligned with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is ideal for a strategic analyst who enjoys combining data analytics, program reporting, and operational process improvement in a mission-critical environment.

Work Location:

    This position is 100% on-site, primarily located in Herndon, VA, with an alternate work location available in Bowie, MD. Candidates must be able to work on-site at one of these locations based on program requirements.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will transform operational data into meaningful insights that guide program performance, decision-making, and continuous improvement. You will lead reporting processes across multiple workstreams, manage contractual reporting requirements, and design dashboards that provide real-time visibility into program health.

Reporting Strategy & Program Visibility
  • Lead program-level reporting activities across multiple workstreams and operational teams. Oversee CDRL management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of contractual reports and deliverables. Develop standardized reporting frameworks that provide consistent visibility into program performance.

Analytics & Performance Measurement
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Conduct advanced trend analysis to identify performance patterns and operational risks. Move beyond descriptive reporting to predictive insights, helping leadership anticipate future outcomes. Monitor program performance metrics and recommend improvements to optimize operations.

Process Improvement & Operational Optimization
  • Analyze current reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and standardization. Support modernization initiatives by aligning reporting capabilities with evolving program needs. Refine business processes that support reporting, analytics, and program governance.

Data Visualization & Decision Support
  • Design and maintain interactive executive dashboards and reporting platforms. Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for leadership audiences. Provide insights that guide risk mitigation, resource planning, and operational improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with program managers, technical teams to align reporting with operational priorities. Facilitate discussions on reporting requirements, metrics definitions, and performance expectations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or Master's degree and 6 years experience or Associate's degree and 10 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading program reporting, analytics, or performance measurement initiatives.
  • Experience managing CDRL deliverables or contractual reporting requirements.
  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Ability to translate technical and operational data into executive-level insights.
  • Familiarity with federal reporting requirements and governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Experience conducting trend analysis and predictive analytics.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reporting packages and program dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting FAA programs or National Airspace System (NAS) environments.
  • Familiarity with NextGen or BNATCS modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with aviation operations, air traffic management, or transportation systems.
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization programs or multi-workstream portfolios.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Experience integrating reporting frameworks with enterprise data environments.

  • Certifications in data analytics, project management, or business intelligence tools.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
