Responsibilities As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support engineering and production activities for the Hysitron product line of nanomechanical test instruments. This hands on role provides exposure to engineering problem solving, process optimization, and new product introduction (NPI). The intern will assist with engineering tasks, contribute to production-readiness activities, and perform instrument assembly and quality related tasks as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Support engineering design modifications including ECOs, validation testing, and documentation.
Qualifications ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Moderate walking, standing, sitting, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; work on ladders and scaffolding; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
