Regions Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor.

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will:

  • Provides general leadership and direction for all technician-related activities.
  • Coordinates workflow, scheduling, evaluation process, new hire training and general direction of technician staff for accomplishment of department goals.
  • Works under the direction and/or supervision of the Pharmacy Managers to assist in the provision of effective, appropriate and safe pharmacy distribution services; customer services.
  • Related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

FTE: 1.0 (40 hrs. Weekly), Day Shift

Typically, Mon-Friday shift, occasional evening or weekend presence may be needed for projects or employee connection.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Bachelor's degree or any combinations of experience and post-high school education to equal four years.
  • At least four years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, community, or institutional pharmacy.

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

  • Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician certification through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Health Career Association (tracked in department)

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Completion of an accredited program for pharmacy technicians preferred.

  • Two years supervisory or lead experience in a hospital or institutional setting preferred.
