Supply Chain Intern

The Supply Chain Intern will support the daily operations of the supply chain team by assisting with shipping and receiving, material handling, and production support tasks. This role provides hands-on exposure to logistics, inventory control, and manufacturing support while helping ensure materials move efficiently through the facility.

The position is designed as an entry-level learning opportunity for a high school student interested in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain careers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Shipping & Receiving Support

• Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying packing slips
• Help label, stage, and organize received parts and materials
• Support preparation of outbound shipments including packaging and documentation
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas
• Assist with basic inventory checks and part counts

MP&L / Kitting Support

• Assist with assembling kits for production orders
• Pull parts from inventory locations based on pick lists
• Verify quantities and part numbers before staging kits
• Stage completed kits for production teams
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory locations

Parts Runner / Production Support

• Deliver parts, hardware, and materials to production areas
• Transport completed kits or parts between departments
• Return unused material back to inventory locations
• Assist production team members with material requests

General Supply Chain Assistance

• Help maintain clean and organized stockroom and warehouse areas
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory organization
• Support supply chain team with miscellaneous tasks as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• Current high school student (16+ preferred)
• Interest in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Basic organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on feet for extended periods
