Description

Code the Foundation. Automate the Future.

Are you tired of "manual toil" and repetitive tasks? Do you view a GUI as a last resort and a script as the primary solution? We are looking for a high-impact Automation Engineer to treat our entire infrastructure as code. From provisioning massive VMware environments to scaling Kubernetes clusters, you will be the architect of our efficiency.

The Opportunity

In this role, you won't just be maintaining systems; you'll be building the pipelines that power our entire IT ecosystem. You'll work across a true hybrid stack-managing both Linux and Windows environments-while championing GitOps and CI/CD best practices. This is a fully remote role for a proactive engineer who wants to own the automation lifecycle from end to end.

Your Mission-Critical Responsibilities

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and provision standardized, scalable virtual environments using VMware, Packer, and Ansible.

Orchestration at Scale: Deploy and manage containerized ecosystems using Docker and Kubernetes, leveraging Helm to keep our deployments clean and consistent.

Pipeline Architecture: Build and refine high-performance CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, ensuring every change is version-controlled through rigorous GitOps methodologies.

Intelligent Scripting: Develop maintainable, robust tools using Python and PowerShell/PowerCLI to integrate disparate systems and eliminate manual intervention.

Cross-Platform Mastery: Act as a senior-level escalation point for both Linux and Windows administrative challenges.

Voice Integration (The Edge Case): Assist in the cutting-edge automation and monitoring of our enterprise VoIP and SIP infrastructure.

What You Bring to the Team

The Track Record: 3-5+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Automation.

The Virtualization Toolkit: Deep expertise in VMware vSphere/vCenter, with a proven ability to automate VM lifecycles using Packer.

The Container Edge: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and Helm.

The Automation Engine: Mastery of Ansible for configuration management and Jenkins for CI/CD.

The Polyglot Scripter: High proficiency in Python and PowerShell/PowerCLI.

The OS Foundation: Strong administrative chops in both Windows and Linux server environments.

The Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

Extra Credit (The "Nice-to-Haves")

Telephony Tech: Experience with Avaya enterprise voice systems or SIP/VoIP architecture.

Networking: A solid grasp of routing, switching, and load balancing within virtualized and containerized environments.

Why Join Us?

True Remote Culture: We trust our engineers to deliver from wherever they work best. Preference for home office in Virginia.

Modern Tooling: Work with a sophisticated stack including K8s, Ansible, and Python.

Complex Challenges: Solve high-level integration problems that go far beyond basic "server clicking."
