HDR has an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced professional to serve in a leadership position as the NTX/OK/Ark Transportation Project Delivery Leader (PDL). As PDL, you will report to the NTX/OK/Ark Transportation Business Group Manager (BGM) and work alongside the BGM to provide and promote consistent project management processes, quality and oversight of project delivery across the BG. You will collaborate closely with Transportation Professional Services Leaders to assign appropriate staff and expertise to deliver quality projects. As PDL, you will collaborate closely with BG leadership to promote and advance project management skills development, career path development, and mentorship of BG staff. Your direct reports may include local program managers, project managers, commercial managers, and collaborative delivery leads. In addition to your primary responsibilities as summarized below, the PDL will be responsible for understanding and having direct knowledge of the HDR project management tools and collaborating, training, and mentoring staff on their implementation and use. You will also support recruiting and retention efforts for the program. In the role of Transportation Project Delivery Leader, we will count on you to:
- Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for transportation staff across the NTX/OK/Ark Area
- Actively manage and closely coordinate workload balancing and ensure qualified staffing of project teams with the Professional Services Leaders
- Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the BG
- Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers
- Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned
- Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities, striving for continuous improvement
- Coordinate with market sector leaders on technical staff assignments for projects across NTX/OK/Ark and workshare management with HDR Areas outside of NTX/OK/Ark
- Collaborate effectively with BG operations, market leadership / sectors, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders
- Perform delegated matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities from BGM
- Work with Business Group Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with the overall Area, corporate policy, and MOA
- Assist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials and driving profitability at the project level
- Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches
- Make recommendations for salary and staffing adjustments
- Participate in 0% reviews, project reviews, and PARR's and support project teams with management of claims and losses
- Coordinate staffing and workload through project life cycles and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with project teams to verify that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of 15 years of experience developing, managing, and leading multi-discipline project delivery teams
- Proven history of delivering high quality, profitable and successful transportation projects
- Extensive knowledge and experience with HDR systems and PM tools for effective project management and delivery
- Extensive industry experience in delivering transportation projects across market sectors
- Demonstrated experience with managing and leading diverse teams. Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 15 years related experience
- A minimum 7 years project management experience

Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example:
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. - MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
