Position Summary

The Anderson School of Management is seeking qualified students with a positive, can-do attitude to provide administrative support to the Anderson School of Management's Center for Sales & Business Development. This role serves as an administrative assistant to the Anderson Sales Center (https://salescenter.mgt.unm.edu/), performing a range of administrative activities that support ongoing operations and activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Attends regular meetings to plan the upcoming work for the Sales Center
  • Organizes Sales Center networking events
  • Organizes logistics for internal and national sales competition events and teams
  • Organizes awards and recognition ceremonies
  • Organizes logistics for advisory board meetings
  • Liaises with Sales Center corporate partners
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment.


Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Has previously completed a sales and/or business development course at UNM, specifically: MGMT 384 Professional Selling; MGMT 484 Advanced Sales; MGMT 586 Business Development.
  • Knowledge of sales and business development principles and practices
  • Organized, responsible, and professional orientation toward job responsibilities and role.
  • Experience with HubSpot or SalesForce or similar CRM systems
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to gather, manage, and impart information to internal and external audiences
  • Availability of approximately 10 - 25 hours per week during regular business hours
