Fleet Operations Coordinator - Ashland, MO Location: 7055 Baldridge Ave, Ashland, MO 65010 Work Environment: On-site Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) Pay Range: $19-$26/hr (conversion at $60-70k) About the Opportunity A new and rapidly growing fleet operations program is launching in the Ashland, Missouri area, and we're seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to support daily vehicle management, operational workflow, and customer engagement. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in fleet, rental, automotive operations, or strong customer service backgrounds who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and supporting both clients and operational teams. What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities) Fleet Operations & Vehicle Management * Oversee and manage variable fleet units at the designated station. * Conduct thorough pre and postservice inspections on vehicles. * Coordinate cleaning, detailing, refueling, and general vehicle readiness. * Schedule and track mechanical or body repairs with approved vendors. * Maintain accurate and organized records of all fleet-related activities. * Partner with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies. Customer & Vendor Engagement * Foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, and fleet personnel. * Serve as a point of contact for updates, questions, and fleet status. * Provide daytoday account support, including recommending costeffective solutions. Skills & Qualifications Required: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * 1-2 years of experience in rental vehicles, fleet operations, automotive service, or similar settings. * 2-5 years of customer service or client support experience preferred. * Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and Word. * Ability to drive and be on your feet for up to 8 hours. * Ability to work occasional weekends or holidays. * Strong integrity, attention to detail, and reliability. Nice-to-Have: * Experience using rental management software. * Strong Excel and data entry skills. * Previous experience in environments such as rental car services, logistics, or fleet support.
