Altour has an exciting opportunity for someone with RFP experience to join our fast growing team! The Sales Specialist is responsible for developing high-quality proposals for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) for our sales and account management teams handling mid-market and enterprise accounts. This role ensures structured coordination, process compliance, and timely submission, working cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, and leadership for responses that clearly articulate the organizations value proposition.

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Operations, this remote position plays a critical role, who can translate complex information into clear client-focused messaging while managing deadlines in fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will come from the Travel Management industry and have experience working in Responsive RFP tool.



Responsibilities

Proposal & Bid Lifecycle Management

    Write, edit, and manage responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other proposal requests.
  • Translate technical, operational, and business information into clear, persuasive proposal content.
  • Customize proposal responses to align with client requirements and win strategies.
  • Ensure proposals clearly communicate value, differentiators, and solutions.
  • Monitor proposal milestones and proactively manage risks to deadlines.
  • Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates, response libraries, and supporting documentation.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for proposal-related process guidance.
  • Join internal strategy sessions and review internal meetings to align on proposed solutions, and operational capabilities
  • Escalate risks, gaps, or resource constraints to Sales Operations leadership.

Performance Tracking & Process Improvement

  • Track proposal activity, win/loss trends, and cycle time metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and submission consistency.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with proposal writing or bid management (preferably within global business travel management)
  • Experience supporting cross-functional revenue teams in structured bid environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Experience with proposal management tools (e.g. Responsive/RFP software)
