We Require
One year of government experience in communications, stakeholder relationships, or writing legal and/or technical documents Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Administration, Political Science, Pre-Law, or a closely related field A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire. We Also Value
Job Contributions
Coordinate and develop IGAs and other agreements for the department. Negotiate agreement terms with outside agencies and municipalities supporting MCDOT's project, operations, and maintenance efforts Build and maintain relationships with other government agencies, jurisdictions, and organizations to support the department's strategic goals and initiatives. Facilitate intergovernmental coordination to streamline decision-making processes. Coordinate meetings, conferences, and other events related to intergovernmental affairs Advise management of critical issues in a timely manner. Regularly exercises discretion, political sensitivity, and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance, while serving as MCDOT liaison to federal, state, regional, and/or local communities and private partners regarding transportation projects and issues Use attention to detail to track and process all agreement invoices and billings. Work with partners and stakeholders to ensure payment and legal terms are completed. Maintain Intergovernmental files and ensure compliance with Arizona State Library record retention schedules Act as the Transportation Advisory Board Coordinator and Liaison by preparing agendas, presentations, and other materials. Assist the chair with facilitating the meeting Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
