Position Overview
| Essential Job Duties |
Postdoctoral researcher is needed to perform research in collaboration with the PI, Dr. Yuan Liu.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Conduct cutting-edge theoretical research at the intersection of quantum information science, chemical physics, and quantum chemistry.
- Develop and analyze novel approaches in areas including quantum control, quantum algorithms, computational quantum methods, robustness and error resilience, fault tolerance, quantum sensing and metrology, and quantum engineering.
- Design and implement theoretical models and computational frameworks to address emerging challenges in quantum-enabled chemical and physical systems.
- Prepare, write, and publish high-quality research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Develop and contribute to competitive research proposals to secure external funding from federal agencies and other sponsors.
- Present research findings at seminars, workshops, and national and international conferences.
- Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students from multidisciplinary backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and collaborative research environment.
- Provide guidance on theoretical methods, scientific writing, and professional development to Students.
- Assist in coordinating laboratory operations, including organization, documentation, and compliance with institutional policies.
- Support laboratory safety management by promoting and adhering to established safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with faculty, research staff, and external partners on interdisciplinary projects.
