Job Description:

Microchip is a leading innovator in the field of electronics design and manufacturing. The Microchip Frequency and Timing Systems business unit is a world leader in precise time solutions and sets the world's standard for time. Our work produces, distributes, and applies precise time for the communications, aerospace/defense, IT infrastructure, and measurement industries.

Our VOP group located in Mount Holly Springs, PA is a market leader specializing in Quartz Precision Oscillators and Frequency Control Solutions. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF circuit design, mechanical / thermal design, reliability design, and design for manufacturability.

This is an onsite position that will report to the Mount Holly Springs facility.

Responsibilities:

• Design ownership of an entire project, from concept to production release. This process includes conceptual design, electrical thermal and mechanical simulations, schematic capture to drive PCB design, prototype evaluation, and release to manufacturing with supporting documentation.

• Design oscillators and related products to be used in a harsh shock and vibration environment.

• Support other functional groups including reliability engineering, process engineering, and quality during and after the product development.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• US Person.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10years design experience in RF electronics industry.
• Knowledge of RF circuits, oscillator circuits, control loops, PLL circuits and related components used in these types of circuits.
• Knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-810).
• Ability to use simulation tools for circuit design, mechanical design, and thermal design.
• Ability to use lab measurement equipment such as network analyzer, phase noise analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope and environmental equipment such as shock and vibration tables.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Self-driven to lead and complete projects within established commitment times.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with cross functional teams.
