Job Summary

The Research Administrator is responsible for managing the financial aspects of research projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with funding agency requirements. This role acts as a liaison between researchers and administrative staff, ensuring that all financial transactions related to research activities are conducted efficiently and in accordance with institutional policies.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manage the preparation and submission of research grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funding agency guidelines and institutional policies.

Job Duty 2 -
Collaborate with various departments to facilitate effective communication regarding research funding and financial management.

Job Duty 3 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Duty 4 -
Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring that financial resources are allocated appropriately throughout the research lifecycle.

Job Duty 5 -
Review and approve expenditures related to research projects, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and funding agency requirements.

Job Duty 6 -
Provide financial guidance and support to researchers, helping them understand budgetary processes and funding regulations.

Job Duty 7 -
Prepare and submit timely financial reports to funding agencies, ensuring accurate representation of research expenditures and project progress.

Job Duty 8 -
Conduct training sessions for faculty and staff on research administration processes, policies, and best practices.

Job Duty 9 -
Monitor changes in funding agency regulations and institutional policies to ensure ongoing compliance in research financial management.

Job Duty 10 -
Assist in the development of strategies for securing funding opportunities, including identifying potential grants and other funding sources.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
Three or more years of relevant experience.

Anticipated salary range $63,303 to $90,167 will be commensurate with qualifications.
