Vice President for Student Affairs Germanna Community College Job Description Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Full of history, the area offers a community rich with the arts, technology, vineyards, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and many other activities. The Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) is an executive role that offers the opportunity to shape the student experience at Germanna Community College which is one of Virginia’s most innovative and mission‑driven community colleges. As the college’s Chief Student Services Officer, the VPSA provides strategic direction, visionary leadership, and operational excellence across a comprehensive portfolio that includes Strategic Enrollment Management, Marketing and Recruitment, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Student Development, Military & Veteran Services, Academic Support/ACE, Student Success, and Testing Services. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, forward‑thinking, data‑driven leader committed to strengthening student achievement, modernizing services, and enhancing the overall student experience. A Strategic Leadership Opportunity The VPSA will guide a highly collaborative, student‑centered division committed to expanding access, fostering a sense of belonging, and supporting student persistence and completion across a broad range of learner needs and backgrounds.
