Your Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to manage the flow of materials within our supply chain. This role is critical in ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively by maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and forecasting material requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain material planning strategies to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to plan material requirements.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and ensure accuracy in ERP systems.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain issues, including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate lead times and delivery schedules.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material planning and inventory management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
  • Support Production Scheduling on an as needed basis.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field; 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) principles.

This job is performed in a temperature controlled, handicap-accessible facility without exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Generally, this job is performed in an office environment.

The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between$81,900 - $96,300/year, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
